Orlando, FL - December 15, 2005 - Kelly Tripp, project manager for DataServ, the leading provider of Document-Centric™ solutions, delivered a morning presentation at IQPC's Procure to Pay Summit in Orlando, FL on December 14, 2005 to an elite group of Finance Vice Presidents and Directors.
In his presentation, Tripp described how companies can boost their AP productivity through the use of Imaging and Workflow technologies. The information was illustrated with an example of how Reuters leveraged this type of technology to evolve from a manual paper-based AP process to an automated business process that reduced invoice processing cycle time by over 70%.
"This was a great forum and I was impressed with both the level and direction of the questioning that transpired following each of the presentations. The attendees in Orlando clearly knew the basics of automation strategies, but wanted to know how to really get their system solutions to deliver as expected. I was also pleased that most in attendance were able to agree with and relate to a central theme in my message - that change management components in an automation project (policy revisions and communication strategies) are equally as important as the technology or system selection decisions. It is still the people and controls that manage the A/P process no matter what automation tools an individual company may currently have deployed." commented Tripp.
With a sharp focus on the accounts payable function, DataServ provides a variety of unique capabilities to companies as diverse as Emerson Corporation, Kellwood and Sony Pictures Entertainment, among others. In 2005 the company established a presence in Europe, Asia and Australia with Emerson Network Power, a division of Emerson Corporation.
